I like the mandatory voting idea. However “All the things the GOP want to do” is things like Voter ID. With millions of illegal immigrants now in our country, that is probably a good idea. Vote in person early in Australia? You actually have to prove a need to do so, which is in line with GOP ideas. Want to vote by mail in Australia? You have to fill out an application and have it approved. Also, inline with GOP ideas….
Offended or “slightly embarrassed”? A world of difference. You come running through my living room buck naked and I’m offended. I view an art piece featuring naked you and I’m “slightly embarrassed”. Context is everything.
In fact this is accurate. The most recent reports show that Lock down did not decrease deaths at all and all but one kind of mask was completely worthless. however with suicide in teens up over 200% and over 300% across all ages, drug overdoses up 1,000% (not a typo), I think we can safely say the mandates were more destructive than Covid itsself.
The wall came with some very high tech security and the most important “Stay in Mexico” plan that was supported by the Mexican government. No structure can secure a country without solid policy and a big stick to back it up.
You know what’s strange? Science doesn’t actually change, those studying it continually discover the truth that was already there. The problem? Thousands of scientist, doctors and health professionals were stating the science and were labeled kooks, insane, and spreading misinformation, the same misinformation that the CDC just “discovered” is actually facts. Either those working for the CDC are the lowest of low level hack scientist or they are on the take.
