   I suspect Ben’s appear was changed precisely to kill any idea of another romantic fling with Luann.

   I think you’re exactly right on that score. There were a couple fans pounding their collective chests and saying what a swell idea it would be for Luann to get together with brother Ben again. This “new version” of Ben, might be Greg and Karen’s way of saying “Well, how do you like him NOW?”

   In fact, this may be the beginning of the opening of doors to a whole slew of long lost characters returning to strip, but different. Delta, Rosa, Piro, Quill, even Aaron Hill, all changed beyond recognition.

   Somehow, I don’t think there’s gonna be a Luann-Ben “romance” as certain MIA posters have been hoping for.

   I’m really surprised we don’t see Brad and/or Toni more exhausted after a day’s work after an extremely demanding and physical job.

   Agreed. That’s what’s so irritating about this Jonah creep. It doesn’t matter to him about Brad and Toni’s personal life, what they got planned or how tired they are. He’ll drop the kid on them without asking first at the drop of a hat.

   I know Brad loves the kid. But what I’d like to see is Brad getting Jonah alone man to man, looking him in the eye and telling him in no uncertain terms, what a selfish a$$ he truly is.

    Jonah is a self-centered louse, who lays a guilt trip on sister Toni every time she “balks” at having to take care of Shannon on short notice every five minutes. He claims to be off pursuing his career, and thinks it’s unfair that the rest of the World doesn’t succumb to his every whim, because his “needs” are more important than everyone else’s. Shannon’s mom split (died?) for parts unknown soon after she was born.Wouldn’t it be nice to meet another normal family in this strip other than Frank and Nancy? I haven’t been reading this strip as long as some others, but I’m beginning to wonder what Greg Evans has against “cheerleaders,” geeks, and stable families.
