   This is definitely “Peanuts” in the beginning. For no comic strip would later express the joy of fall more than “Peanuts”.

   Funny . . . when I read this in the local paper earlier this morning, I didn’t get it. Because I didn’t recognize her as the Tooth Fairy, but saw her as an angel of some sort. Here, I immediately saw her as the Tooth Fairy.

   I was thinking the same things. Dogs like Rover did not go to groomers in the 1960s, or even in the ’70s, as far as I remember. Only dogs like poodles went to groomers.

   They do nothing about reported comments, unless they concern gender issues. I once reported one where they were suggesting the two siblings in “Family Circus” had an incestuous relationship and they did nothing. That’s when I deleted my account. They weren’t getting $20 a year from me any longer. I even sent an email to Hearst Communications, the owner of King Features Syndicate, when I deleted my account telling them why, and got a worthless type of response. Oh well, I found comic strips there that aren’t here online in other places, such as at the cartoonist’s own website. Also, I read the local newspaper every day and they have comics found at Comic Kingdom.

   April is a comic strip character. She is not a person in a nonfiction story. I think it’s amusing thinking how she will need therapy and will have survior’s guilt the rest of her life. Gee, these days even comic strip characters must have little resilience and be scarred for life! This reminds me of reviews for “Peanuts” specials on TV where parents are saying they are too violent for young children to watch.
