Great creative concept today—and the little detail of Rover opening one eye when Red asks him about going for the walk is priceless.

Thank you for rescuing Ella. I know how much you’ve missed Rugby. Ella She needed a home and you needed a dog. Perfect!

It’s not an awful job! Kids like to earn money and they learn responsibility. Sure, they may get wet or cold depending on the season or where they live, but there are benefits, too, like beautiful warm summer mornings—and a paycheck (and sometimes great tips!). My son had paper routes wherever we lived until he went to university!

The good thing about Labrador Retrievers’ coats is that water and dirt runs off fairly easily with a brisk rub!

My daddy served in the US Army Air Corps during WWII. He was trained in reconnaissance and was involved in the containment and transport of POWS in Remagen, Germany, at the end of the war. He never spoke about his military experiences and I only learned of them when I found records he had kept locked away.

Ha, ha—Rover’s so smart, I think he often trains Red! Newton does puzzles and games too, but he hasn’t mastered checkers!

If so, maybe because he let Red win!
