My yard is filled with little footprints in the snow. If i’m correct though, moles tend to dig deeper in the winter, hunting for food. But Mona and her fellow moles…dressed in winter gear, would be a nice sight. Also wondering what kind of gadgets Gutter would come up with for travelling in the snow.

I like to have beef stew in a bread bowl. Or just a round, small, loaf of bread hollowed out a bit. Preferably something dark.

A grilled cheese sandwich is never a bad choice. Ever.

My mobile mechanic got everything going again. He eased the hood latches open from underneath the car. He’s a real hero for doing that in this weather. Once opened….he had to remove a piece of trim under the hood to gain complete access to the battery. So my car is ready to roll. Hopefully it does not require any further coddling or stroking. LOL I’ll drop the old battery off to be recycled once the temps warm up a bit. Now it’s time for me to warm up too.

Mine is a simple beef stew. Lately i’ve been making it with a chuck roast. Add some potatoes and carrots, along with some garlic, tomatoes and onions. Celery, if I have it. Salt and pepper to taste. I cook it in a crock pot on low until the meat falls apart. This time I made a chicken stir fry with mandarin oranges and some green beans. Onions, Anaheim peppers, garlic then a touch of sriracha sauce. All over brown rice.

I decided to go ahead and do the reset for my windows now. Easy. But that battery has had it. It had enough power left for me to reset the windows, but nothing more. I left the car cover on it for now. I wish I had a modern garage that was wide enough for our huge cars. I don’t normally think of my car as huge, but it is wide…compared to something from the late 40’s.

Yeah, I did a quick google search and found this issue. It has a simple reset procedure. I’ll have to wait until the new battery is installed to do that though or it’ll have to be done all over again. Sadly, it looks as if the temperature isn’t going to rise any from where it is. I think my mechanic is going to open the hood from underneath my car though. I’m in no hurry though.

It’s now up to 12F here, but my hood will not open to switch out the old battery. LOL What’s worse? The driver’s side window comes down just a bit every time you open the door. It needs to be reset. It has to do with the battery issue. Luckily I have a car cover, made for my specific model. So I covered it for now. My mechanic is going to come back this afternoon to see if he can get it the hood open, without damaging anything. I suggested we try a hair dryer. I can run an extension cord from my garage. I have a heavy duty, outdoor use extension cord.

It ends much the same way with my girls. But I still enjoy it. Sara loves belly rubs, but she also enjoys biting. Light, sweet bites.
