Except…no matter how he typed habitually, ALL the keys should have the writer’s fingerprints, not just the letters in the note. Except…try to type with your fingertip or tips pressed flat against the keys, so that they leave prints. This strip is like Sherlock Holmes stories with just Lestrade and Watson.

   I was surprised to learn that pearls were worn in the hair at any time. I thought that was just some weird nightcap on her head, not hair with pearls. I’m not sophisticated enough for these puzzles.

   Being the only one in the room without glasses was a dead giveaway, not because they might have possibly fallen off, but because he took them off to disguise his appearance. Unfortunately he ducked into one of those “in” places where not wearing glasses made him conspicuous and his strategy obvious.
