I have requested examples of Democrat ‘self-policing’ and ‘punishing’ one of its own for offenses on a level equivalent to the accusations laid upon Trump and non-Democrats.
By your own words, I “have been given a couple of examples of Democrats who have been forced to resign by their own party for comparatively minor offences.”
What has become clear from a number of respondents is that, apparently, there are NO examples of malfeasance by a Democrat on a "Trump level.” That is an assertion I leave others to debate and decide.
If I were ’trolling,’ I would be attempting to engage in an argument. What I have been doing is trying to elicit evidence to validate the original contention that Democrats “police and punish” their own.
Thank you for offering a viable example. His offense did warrant his consequence.
However, to be accurate, was his offense called out by the Democratic party?
And according to Wikipedia ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Edwards ), he was never convicted of any crime, per se, although his political career was essentially destroyed.
“The republicans have zero interest in policing their own. … Quit dissembling…”
Your response is not germane to the question I posed.
dissemble (verb) – to present a false appearance of
How am I ‘dissembling?’
If an assertion of ‘self-policing’ is made, but cannot be justified with examples specifically asked for, who, exactly, is ‘dissembling?’
As of this writing, I have yet to read of one Democrat to be named by respondents who has been “policed and punished” by the party for malfeasance on a level of that attributed to non-Democrats.
