I was recently in a courthouse elevator with the door shut but the buttons not responding. Then the back door opened and in walked a sheriff with a handcuffed arrestee. The sheriff told me I had to leave, but only she could open the door.
I’m now enjoying hanging more meaningful artworks from family, friends and travels, and donating old random prints with not much personal connection to the local Habitat ReStore.

My girls claimed that if you don’t foul out of a basketball game, you aren’t playing hard enough. One managed that before half time in a grade school age rec game. They went on to successfully play college lacrosse within the rules!
I was blessed to attend an all girls high school where math and science courses were an essential part of the curriculum as established by the founding order of the School Sisters of Notre Dame in the 1850’s. Although I earned the senior awards for math and science (1970), I was more interested in the social sciences and earned degrees in psychology, special education and counseling.
When the grands started arriving, I decided to make memories with them for birthdays and Christmas. It could be simple like a visit to a new playground and new restaurant. Fostering cats and dogs is another short term way to help pets while getting exercise and healthy endorphins. My 8 year old hound mix rescue has greatly upped my daily mileage and oxytocin level. He’s friendly and could be easily rehomed, but I sure hope no need for that!
