I thought it was brilliant when BJ explained that his mom was Bea and his dad was Jay.

No6 and A Common ‘tator are correct. The glass in Andy’s hand in the first panel is on the shelf in the second and third panels. The glass has a “shine” on it that is not drawn very well.

    Hilarious! Thanks

I guess Paige watched the 1980’s movie “The Last Starfighter,” liked it, and thought her character Jane would fit.

I saw this as a dumb blond joke on Facebook. Your version is better since it is not derogatory to women or blonds.

Let’s get this straight. The winter solstice has been celebrated for roughly 12,000 years. Of course there is no record of who or exactly when, but primitive astronomers discovered they could predict the seasons by studying the stars.

Can you imagine how monumentally important that was? An ice age had ended. Farming and domesticating animals was in its infancy. In winter, as the days shortened and weather worsened, they could joyfully proclaim that the days would get longer and weather would improve. Demons were not eating the sun! We’re not going to run out of food! They feasted. They splurged and threw another log on the fire. They gave each other gifts.

Our current cat was given to us when her owner was dying of cancer. The one before her came to our front door pregnant. One was abandoned in a vacated apartment and found by our son. One walked into my work place and curled up at our office manager’s feet. A kitten was found in a friend’s chicken coop. They just appear needing help. You can’t refuse.

I don’t need a challenge. It’s simply a good thing to do for everyone’s benefit. I was just to dumb before to notice it is not difficult to do.

Thank you. I searched a minute ago and did find places close to me where, “appointments are encouraged but walk-ins are accepted.” I must have missed that before.
