In my area, a child can miss only a certain amount of school before being sent to appear before a judge with a parent. Both the parent and the child are questioned as to WHY the kid is missing so many days and it can result in fines (or jail time for repeat offenders (even the parent)) if there is not a good reason (I believe only medical reasons count). I only knew one child who got to that point and they were being treated by a doctor for medical issues that made going to school difficult (some days she was in too much pain to even get out of bed). The school ended up working with the parents to home school her and she was able to graduate on time.

He had a haircut and they shaved a section in the middle off. He’s freaking out over it.

I could send him some of mine. I have a big plant and a cat that basically ignores it.

Stumpy can have some of my cat’s catnip. The plant is getting pretty big and he seems to be ignoring it.

It’s not a matter of forcing them to eat. It’s the matter of telling them you will not fix them something special after cooking a full meal. My ex MIL used to do that and the result was my ex would only eat a handful of foods and would NEVER even try anything else. She tried it with my kids and I shut her down. If you spent 4 hours cooking a roast with all the trimmings, then you are NOT going to fix ham for my kids. They will eat the roast.

I have Anisometropia (nearsighted in 1 eye and farsighted in the other). If that happened to me, it would really screw me up. Glad they figured out what happened and corrected it.

Actually, the CHURCH has said those baptism are invalid and need to be redone. There was an article about a Priest whose own baptism was invalid so he had to be re-baptized, reconfirmed, and re-ordained. Unfortunately, any baptisms or sacraments HE did prior to his re-ordainment was invalid as well. Talk about a hornet’s nest over a simple word change.

Lived in Buffalo years ago. I remember they did not care for being known ONLY for their snow amount.

I don’t need an alarm clock. My cat wakes up at 6:30 every morning. He doesn’t understand the concept of weekends or holidays.
Saw it just outside of Cleveland. It was neat. All the street lights came on like it was night and it got really dark and chilly, then it brightened up and warmed up.
