Today is the 25th anniversary of the passing of Charles Schulz. He revitalized the world with his beautiful strip, that still makes an impact in reruns today. And even though Peanuts haven’t seen an original strip in 25 years, at this point, their legacy will continue to live on. So I’d like to take today and thank this man for all that he did, he was able to do the same thing over and over again for 50 years… without repeating himself.
Someone mentioned this yesterday, but I’d love to see some of the characters we haven’t seen in a while return.
Ellen pretty much appears whenever it’s called for. I wish the strip would have arcs focusing on her like they used to.
Artur and Jenny are pretty much irrelevant to the strip now that Nate moved on from his unhealthy obsession with their relationship. But… that doesn’t mean they can’t appear still. Also, Marty’s role in the strip has been waning in recent years, in my opinion. Since it feels like the strip is more centered around characters around Nate’s age, rather than him having to deal with the adults in his life.
Comment what other characters you’d like to see more of.
Jenny and Artur’s relationship has always fascinated me. They’ve been going steady for more than 16 years now; Will they ever break up? Honestly, I hope they do one day just so new life is breath into their characters than just “they’re the perfect couple” (which they aren’t).
Idk just something that’s been on my mind with this strip, and now that the continuity has come back I felt I’d speak on it.
7/10, only for acknowledging the strip’s history, he just straight up names every name the team has had. Joke is pretty weak and cliche though, but what more would you want
