There was a time, not so very long ago when, for most Americans, Dad was the worker/bread winner and Mom stayed at home/housewife. It didn’t take a college degree or two incomes just to ‘get by’. My family included 5 kids. We were not wealthy, ‘well off’, or even in the middle of the ‘middle class’. Nevertheless, we owned a home, the bills got paid and we never needed ‘public assistance’.
America could look like that again, If Congress would pull their head out of their collective *.
