According to Wikipedia: “Gil Thorp is a sports-oriented comic strip which has been published since September 8, 1958. The main character, Gil Thorp, is the athletic director of Milford High School and coaches the football, basketball, and baseball teams. In addition to the sports storylines, the strip also deals with issues facing teenagers such as teen pregnancy, steroids, and drug abuse.” Obviously, Barajas wasn’t content with that range and decided that the loyal readers needed more drama and “timely” topics. He’s wrong. This was an enjoyable strip when it stayed with the original parameters. Now, it is as depressing as watching the nightly news. Does he realize that I/we can turn off the tv? And, we can move on from his strip?
“I have never been love.”? In love or been loved, but “been love”?
