This comic strip is set in the 60’s and early 70’s.
If the artist had made the face look inspirational and encouraging then it really would have been sold as a pep talk. But the mean face doesn’t match that at all.
Adults call it that in the US also but these are children who are talking in the strip.
Women are capable of having anger and breaking things in anger.
None of the parrots or other birds I know are very tidy. In fact, they can be quite messy.

My dog wouldn’t like it because it mentions thunder booms.
