Oi! If I wanted to see a cartoonist express hatred of humanity, I could go look at Pearls Before Swine. I read this strip to see childish humor, such as Sherman roaring “ABKHAZIA!!!” while spraying saliva everywhere.
Of course Calvin believes in God. To threaten God as Calvin did in one of the funniest and most insightful strips ever, you have to believe in him. (In fact I only just realized how insightful, as well as funny, it was when Calvin threatens God.)
It may not be as funny as the time Crispinorino tricked everyone into eating dog treats, but it’s still funny.
