   Adding to my reply from earlier, Peppermint Patty and Marcie showed girls that they can be tomboys and smart in school, respectively. Lucy and her clique just put boys down through physical and verbal abuse to make themselves feel better. Who really wins here?

   I personally think Peppermint Patty and Marcie were much better with breaking gendered stereotypes than Lucy and her one-dimensional mean girl clique.
