    The least surprising part is the first strip, where a man dressed like a clown for no reason was licking his lips and sweating profusely at the idea of being wedged between two unsuspecting bystanders.

    They’re not showing you the part where the dog catcher beats the store owner into the ground, then has his buddies plant a “crime” helmet in his backroom that “turns up” in a raid. Allegedly.

    The appeal of this comic makes a lot more sense if you imagine the guilt of war crimes hanging over fresh veterans of WWII. Really puts the japes into perspective.
