I just took it as a commentary on tips period. I agree. Tips should be earned, not expected. Besides, a server has 4 or more tables to cover. Each table spends $30. Each table is there for an hour. 15% of $120 is $18 an hour. $18 plus whatever minimum wage is gets the server about $20 an hour. Quit complaining. You want more, earn it! If you make me feel that I am your only customer (within reason of course) you will get anywhere from 25% and possibly more.
That’s right! No pizza, or anything else. Once in a while family dinner can be, but doesn’t have to ever be, Burger King. You don’t always have to, if ever, get it your way. Quit coddling the little monsters. If they’re hungry, they’ll eat. I not, they won’t die.
I branched out in my food selections a little more readily during my early twenties. I still don’t like curry or most foods from eastern Europe and India, but I at least tried them. Still, nothing beats a burger and fries.
My wife and I had a cat do that too. Shortly after he started spraying all over the house. We had to take him to a farm where he became the top cat, even though he had no front claws.
Basic dental insurance has always been a break even proposition at best. For $600 you get two per year for you and your spouse and xrays once a year. If you add up the cost for 4 cleanings and 2 sets of x-rays the cost comes to……..wait for it. $600. Anything more than that is gravy, even if it’s only $1000.
The various agencies involved recommend the batteries be changed every 6 months on the devices. That would allow your son to do it when he visits.
