   Just because I like to support Mr. Meddick’s work here I shut of my browser’s ad blocker on this site and… jfc you’ve got to be f***ing kidding me. It’s like a race now – I try to read the comic and close the window before the half dozen video ads fully load. Not sure I can hold out very long.

   If only there were a device that, with a single click of a button, could search for the information regarding “ABC TV’s New Years Rockin’ Eve” and direct you to a detailed explanation. Alas, since that stranger on this comic strip comment page didn’t spend an hour doing that for you, you’ll have to die in ignorance.

   The cognitive ability of the general population has dropped considerably in the past few years and I can’t be the only person to see this.

   I’d love to laugh at this – as I did find it funny – but birds can’t really have conversations with people and that ruins everything for me. And I mean everything! Christmas is ruined. My breakfast – which I was looking forward to even more than Christmas – is ruined. The new year = ruined.

   This happened to a neighbor of mine when I lived in Maine. I was surrounded by 50s to 70s year-olds who pickled their livers and had to quit drinking, except this woman who was still hanging in there. But she had some neurological thing that caused her to slur her speech and seem intoxicated. And she complained to me about a bartender cutting her off just like this when she hadn’t had a drink yet. Of course, her troubles were probably long-term effects of alcohol abuse, so I’m not sure if that makes it an ironic story or not.
