   As is the case with so many carbonated beverages, Moxie (capital “M”) was created as a tonic (which is still the local word for soft drinks is parts of New England). “Having moxie” (lowercase “m”) arose from the purported benefits of drinking Moxie, according to local lore. Just my $0.59 (after being adjusted for inflation since 1876, when it was created — oh how I miss the “cents” symbol key!).

   I’m glad these are being re-run — this arc is what caught my attention and started me tuh followin’ WD! The artwork alone brings me back to the days of flipping through the funnies at the kitchen table, back in the day! The little subtleties (and details!) here and there, under the hand of each … um … “steward” … of the strip, are the icing on the cake! Many, many thanks!!!!

   I know a boss who would have heard, “I mean, even if flying, scented, edible laptops were a possibility – and … they will be – our developmental budget has … the resources to … produce a prototype – and certainly … by this afternoon!”. Just sayin’.
