I don’t believe that you don’t know what USAID does – and it’s not providing aid to American farmers; there are other programs for that. It provides food and other assistance to the world’s needy in the name of the USA. It does that by purchasing those commodities from American providers and providing it to those in need. It’s similar to the Marshall plan that rebuilt Europe after WWII and turbocharged the US economy by making all the items provided be purchased from American providers. That market won’t be replaced by the needy buying on their own because they have no buying power – it’s just lost income to American farmers.
