Hi! Call me Becca.
So now we’ve started Homicidal Psycho Jungle Cat? That was the first C+H book I ever got. Nice memories.
Don’t give them ideas!
To me the funniest thing about this strip is that Calvin’s dad is yelling like the kid’s across the yard instead of within grabbing distance.
Reminds me of an exchange between a boy and his mother from one of the anime shows I watched as a kid:“Mom, why are girls crazy?”“They aren’t, honey. Their husbands make them that way.”
I wonder. If there was a book made up of all the C+H strips that wouldn’t be acceptable to print by today’s standards, how big would it be?
You’d think Dad would have tossed the book out by now.
But that would be doing the work himself.
This particular attitude is Bill Watterson using Calvin as a mouthpiece.
I’d rather board an airplane than make toast. If something screws up with the plane, at least it won’t have been my fault.
I like how there are a thousand different ways Hobbes could refute Calvin’s delusional statement and THAT’S the one he picks.
