This reminds me of watching a mail carrier throw someone’s package in the direction of their mailbox out by the road rather than carrying it to the door & setting it down gently. Yes, I actually witnessed that recently.

I didn’t denigrate Shakespeare’s stories. I merely bemoaned the archaic language. The few quotes that are universally recognized are the exception, not the rule. Some of the language is beautiful. Most is just word salad to modern ears. Not because all modern ears belong to dunces, but because language evolves.

I have never understood all the fuss about Shakespeare. The basic storylines might be good, but the archaic language is annoying word salad to a modern ear and not worth the effort.

According to the most recent research, Alcohol consumption is associated with a variety of short- and long-term health risks, including motor vehicle crashes, violence, sexual risk behaviors, high blood pressure, and various cancers (e.g., breast cancer).1The risk of these harms increases with the amount of alcohol you drink. For some conditions, like some cancers, the risk increases even at very low levels of alcohol consumption (less than 1 drink).

Joking about stupid stuff people do when drunk, as if that’s okay is— not okay. Alcohol is poison, kids.

Jokes about alcoholism are not amusing. They are sad. Alcohol is poison.
