If you posit the existence of a god, then you have to ask where he/she/it came from. If you don’t posit the existence of a god, then why is there anything at all (assuming the universe actually exists)? Scientists now claim that their theories/equations prove that the universe HAS to exist, but I smell circular reasoning. So there is a mystery and it has no solution. So carpe diem and don’t worry about it.
It seems to me that the quality of the translations has gone downhill lately. In this case, panel one omits mentioning that they’re on their way to the biblioteca.
