I think she did use brandy some times, maybe wine too?? She did squeeze some orange juice sometimes, maybe apple too, She passed in 85, so I’m a little foggy about derails. All I ever poured on was bourbon or rum!
My parents were strict teetotalers, Alcohol was absolutely the worst sin. But Mama would make the FC in early Nov. and then pour bourbon or rum on the FC, and let it marinade 4-6 weeks so it would be ready for Xmas, and I would sneak and pour more several times. And it really wasn’t that bad!
