“State agencies that do this should be subject to litigation and or arrest.” – Good luck in that ever happening in a red state – especially in the South or Ohio.
My personal favourite is the Republicans wanting some sort of universal voter ID for people who don’t have a government-issued ID such as a drivers license. It sounds like a great idea until one finds out that the place they have to go to to get said ID is rather inaccessible even with public transit and, to make matters worse, its operating hours are such that many of the people requiring the ID would have to take time off work (which they can’t really afford to do) in an attempt to get the ID.
Maybe they’re afraid their early voting drop box will mysteriously catch on fire like some of them in Washington and they don’t want their vote to be ruined?
“The Democratic Politburo”? Need I remind you of the numerous attempts by the Republicans and their supporters to change the rules and procedures regarding legislation in Ohio so they could try to enact Abortion Laws favourable to their opinions and not the actual will of the people? Oh, and by the way, let us not forget that when they lost after said numerous attempts, they tried to blame their loss on “dark money from outside the state” – something they, themselves, were guilty of!
If you fear having your vote dismissed, then be wary of the Republicans – especially if you belong to one or more of certain demographics and/or live in certain areas cough Deep South cough.
Love the commentary coming from the tv in the final panel!
