You’re overthinking it. There’s no connection. It’s just one of those Quote-a-Day calendars which offers an edifying tidbit each day, but they don’t necessarily correspond to the date in any way.
I’m waiting to see if the “deets” Jonah refers to include reimbursement for the expenses Brad and Toni wil incur. If not, Jonah is just a sponger, along with being an irresponsible parent. I realize “it takes a village” and all that, but Jonah should still be doing his share.
