   I had to do a sleep study several years ago. The Dr. asked a few questions, looked in my mouth and said he was almost positive I had sleep apnea. I got hooked up to the monitor the next night, had what I thought was a restless night since all those wires made it impossible to get comfortable and was sent home the next morning. 2 days later the Dr. called and sounded very disappointed that I didn’t have sleep apnea and no need of a C-Pap. I’m still not sure if he was mad I proved him wrong or if he was mad because he didn’t get his cut of the sale of the machine.

   If you can’t find a bottle opener, a small flat head screwdriver under the lid also works to break the vacuum.

   I have no need for the sewing room or a tailor. Why? Because all of my pants have either elastic or draw-string waist bands. It’s certainly not because I’ve been ignoring all the delicious food here. They all expand very nicely without requiring alterations. And they’re quite comfy.

   I haven’t been to the grumbling room since I have been following OIXL for Georgia’s wonderful artwork. Then I got invested in the telekinetic kittens and keep hoping they’ll teleport Snowball into a snowbank. But back to the menu, my English-Irish-Scots descended mother always had pickled herring on NYE and I don’t like anything pickled. I tried to find the smallest piece at the bottom of the jar and swallowed it as fast as I could to minimize the taste. For years my husband and I had cold boiled shrimp with rye bread and dill dip for our NYE dinner, since his passing I don’t bother with the shrimp but I still get rye bread or crackers and a tub of dill dip to go with whatever I eat.

    Ordered mine from B&N months ago. They’ll ship it for delivery on the 17th but thanks to my screwed up mail service it will be 4-5 days late, as usual.
