   I dunno… back before Loony Toons there was Melodies, and stories were much more ‘whimsical’.. with the advent of Chuck Jones the tone changed ,, events became much more bitter & overtly hostile… Tex Avery inherited the mantle that many claim Chuck abandoned in favor of a new, angrier medium.

   I don’t think it’s an issue of ‘free speech’…. I think it’s an issue of adults forgetting how to act like adults, or more likely abandoning it outright.
