   I had to give my cat a bath, once. During a trip she, huh, had an “accident” in her carrying box, and by the time we arrived, her hindquarters were quite filthy.

   It was cold and damp outside, it was night time, and she obviously couldn’t be in the house in that state.

   A bath outside was impossible, and inside, she’d only run away, and get everything wet and dirty.

   There was only one solution.

   The shower.

   So, I jumped in the shower with her, completely unprotected. Well, protected by love and trust, I guess.

   She complained the whole time, acting all desperate, but was always very passive, and never tried to scratch or bite while I cleaned her up.

   When we were done, she went on to dry herself on an old towel I put on the floor, as if nothing had happened.

   I should say she never actually minded getting wet in the rain, and she’s always been a drama queen.

   Full disclosure, she’s my first pet, and I have no idea what I’m doing.
