He sure is doing his best to shake up a lot of other countries than USA and why would he bother with borders and limits when he isn’t held back by either morals or legislation.

Musk doesn’t have to dethrone him, he just has to decide that the Secret Service is an unnecessary cost, give everyone there a pink slip and wait.

I sure considered the people and their will but I have no illusion that their wants and needs have any value for neither the guy making all those proposals or the people with even bigger mansions that bought him.

Yes, why not? It’s a rational idea because the wall that needs to be built on the Guatemalan border is a lot shorter, a huuuge amount of immigrants would suddenly be legal, those cartels could be handled internally by federal agencies and US legislation. Just imagine all the hotels and golf courses that can be built along the shores and not to the least, renaming the gulf would also make more sense…

Suppose the flaw of the idea is that it has potential to solve a bunch of issues. Which of course means it is impossible to propose.

Yuck, I can feel the stench all the way here. :-(

But a possibly positive take on the projected situation is that the density of the, ehrm, downfall usually is higher than water so you would actually be able to float in it. There is no need to be afraid of drowning. :-)

I don’t have a family like this but have colleagues. Sometimes I get a feeling they are spending more time and energy on misinterpreting our ‘dear leaders’ than they are on making work. Hurting themselves in the process is less important than to stick it to the man.

Those are good arguments. Fortunately you have two other copies in case you are denied access to the online copy. :-)

One other issue I have encountered is that it can take a long time to restore backups if the copy is on the other side of a low bandwidth link.

Yes Barry, turn back and find another mountain where the path does not force you to split things that only works if they are united.

But when the remains will be spread I suppose there will be a lot of kids as attendees…

Companies going people-less and relying on bots and AI for customer service soon enough will go customer-less as well.

Perhaps you already are but for all others readers of this thread the 3-2-1 rule of backups is very easy to set up and efficient at protecting your data. 3 copies (at least), 2 different kinds of media, 1 copy offsite (cloud works fine as offsite but please encrypt that copy).
