Actually, and to be pedantic, it was not invented but derived from a Czech word, “robota”, meaning forced serf labour, and first used by writer Karel Čapek in his play of 1920, R.U.R (Rossum’s Universal Robots). There are a lot of articles on rhe web on this if you are interested.
Love it! The only downside is, you might hit on a genuine combination of name and pw, and so make trouble for somebody. But then again, you’re not a ’bot trying a gazillion combinations :-)
Why don’t these people use their energy and intelligence for legit, useful, helpful endeavors… sigh…
