Indeed that is good. Government control of the economy is always superior to freedom. Government knows better how to run people’s lives than individuals do at making decisions about their own lives. However, I have to deal with critics who say that central planning often leads to shortages, as is the case Canadians and Europeans having to wait a long time for their turn at the free healthcare, or images of people in the USSR waiting in long lines to get bread, soap, shoes or toilet paper (sometimes to get inside the store only to be told the commodities ran out). How can we counter those arguments?
