   This is a comic strip and comic strips are supposed to be funny. But this one does not do it all the time. For example, when Lawrence came out, that was unfunny.

   A way to make Lawrence’s coming out funny would be to have a band where Lawrence wears a leather biker outfit, Michael wears a hard hat, Gordon wears a sailor outfit and Brian looks like an Indian.

   That would be funny if there was an FBOFW comic in the 1960s, such as this:

   Elly: Elizabeth, you have had a stinky attitude and bad grades these past couple of weeks. For that you are not allowed go to the movies.

   Elizabeth: No fair!!! What if you were told you could not watch the landing on the Moon?

   Flashback to 1969

   Jim{clapping hands}: Bravo, men, bravo!

   Marian: Oh sure, Jim. While I am cleaning and slaving over a hot stove you are sitting there on the couch in front of the idiot box! What does that have to do with Canada?!

   At least John and Elly won’t have to worry about supporting April like they do bailing out Michael and Elizabeth. Elly already has a contract for April to be a circus freak! :P
