Why would that be marked as hilarious?

It is. This strip is set in America, and it kinda does depend on the state, but states like California had GSAs (Gay-Straight Alliances) in the 80s. There were plenty of teenagers who were in lesbian or gay relationships. While it was more frowned upon then, it wasn’t not in existence.

Honestly have not been checking BN at all for a bit over a week, just read the newest strips, and they’re not amazing but also not horrible. It’s nice to have a break from Daphne but I also feel better now than I did when reviewing past ones so I may just have a slightly more positive outlook. Anywho, B+

A+ !One of my favourite comics so far, maybe even the favourite. I fidget a lot too and often get told to stop moving my leg. Rare Nate W!

Lowkey one of the funniest strips so far. A! The instrument gag got a bit boring because it was the same thing three times but I’m happy that we get a break from the Lab Duo.

Assuming you’re SunnyHoneyShimmerMagic, I really liked it. Since BN characters don’t have a whole lot of personality besides what’s shown on the surface, so it’s hard to write it like you would a true novel. But they felt pretty on-point, especially with Daphne’s thoughts. Even if they aren’t my style, it definitely feels like something she’d think. Nerdy writer nitpick: when you’re doing thoughts, it’s better to use italics or apostrophes, and for dialogue, quotation marks work the best because it makes it flow a lot smoother when you’re reading.

Here, I thought she was talking, but I’m 90% sure it was actually a thought. Would be better to swap the second set of apostrophes for quotation marks instead.

Daphne, having listened to all this, found herself blushing too, but from embarrassment. ’What’s wrong with me? Usually I’m quiet and understanding! At least, I try to understand! Like when Nate fought Craig! But I lost control over there!’

She gripped her arm, shuffling her feet. ’I’m sorry, Nate, I… I guess I just got a little worried…’ *

Anyway, very good. (Sorry if you got a lot of comment notifications, I had to rewrite this a lot.)
