Is it propaganda if facts do not represent the whole truth?
Regarding the 100,000 white, Southern volunteers: Over the course of the war, more than 2 million soldiers enlisted in the Union Army. (Source: Wikipedia – Union Army)
Regarding the Alabama cavalry: More than ten other cavalry regiments participated in Sherman’s March to the Sea. (Source: Wikipedia – Savannah campaign Union order of battle)
I am by no means a Civil War expert, but the facts seemed mis-representative of the whole and so I checked them.
