“Ugh” is normally just a grunting sound people make when something annoys or disgusts them. The comic suggests that the caveman on the left is named “Ugh,” and the caveman on the right was addressing him by name, rather than just grunting. Thus the name “Ugh” become a word synonymous with disgust. Other examples of proper names used to express opinions about other people: “Judas”, “Bendict Arnold”, “Karen.”
The library in my area is now a hybrid “library / community center.” I won’t get into all the details, but I miss the days when libraries were quiet and people who went there actually had respect for public property.
