I’ve seen many a ice shower over the past 59 years, with one leaving my school closing early in the day after four 7th graders got sent to the hospital for broken limbs after traversing a football field to get to the gym for P.E., which was too late as the busses were frozen to the road and all roads to the school (which was on top of a hill) were covered in 3 inches of ice, making it impossible for anyone to get to the school. We were stranded in the school right before Christmas break for three days before the city officials could get the proper ice removal chemicals and equipment to free the busses so they could get the kids home.
This was in Germany and the middle school I attended was in Frankfurt and were my dad was stationed was 60 miles away in Butzbach
