I remember it this way:
Guy takes his dog into the talent agent and says, “This is the best act you’ve seen! This dog can TALK!”
Talent agent doesn’t buy it and says, “Okay, sure… prove it to me.”
Guy turns to the dog and says, “What’s the thing on top of a house?”
The dog says, “Roof!”
“What does sandpaper feel like?”
“Ruff!”
“Who’s the greatest baseball player ever?”
“Ruth!”
The talent agent, annoys, throws them both out. On the sidewalk, the dog says to the man, “Maybe I should have said DiMaggio.”
