    This could be the start of a story arc that will tie up some loose ends. With everybody home for the snow day, they could send the boys out to play, yes I’m going there, and in nine months the alien mother ship drops off a new mer-maiden sister for the boys.

    Sorry, but I haven’t come up with a plausible explanation that will tie together all of the loose ends. But this seems a good start.

    Boy did Moncton bring back some memories. My grandfather in the 1960s and 1970s had a cabin on the Miramichi near the swing bridge in McNamee. I have vague memories of going to Fredericton, Doaktown, and Moncton at various times. And seeing moose while trout fishing!

    Similar for the 60s kid. Though by my teens I was much more interested in reading a good historical fiction. I was a big Kenneth Roberts fan for those of you from New England.
