Kind of late, isn’t it? This is September. To them in comics, it is also September.
Yes. I agree with everyone. Odie should not have had a thought in this one. This breaks consistency. However, in Garfield and Friends, Odie’s barking sometimes sound like talking when he is with Garfield. Some words can be slightly heard.
Well perhaps it was left over from the summer, which is also why it tastes bad.
I thought it would be popcorn, since it popped.
“Feed me” was the first set of words he said in his first comic strip back in 1978, after he introduced himself.
They have celebrated Odie’s birthday on August 8th in various strips over the years, but they don’t do it in every August 8th strip.
August 8, 1978 marked Odie’s first appearance in the Garfield comic strip. I do not know why they do not acknowledge that every year.
July 28th is Jon Arbuckle’s birthday (it mirrors that of Jim Davis). The others should have shown Jon a perfect day for his birthday.
I love this pun. I didn’t get it at first, but the pun on the word “Chin” makes it funny.
