Seriously, I’ve been going to farmer’s markets since I was a child (when one was nearby). They have ALWAYS been cheaper than grocery stores, especially for the basics. Exotic fruits and veggies may be expensive, but I rarely buy them, and they generally aren’t in the local groceries.

I sincerely miss the local farmer’s market that closed down about 8 years ago. It was a blow to my finances, my taste buds, and my diet.

All the charity thrift stores I know of will take all those bags and need more.

Anyone with a dog and good sense can use them to deal with doggie doo.

Know a crafter? Then you know someone who can use plastic bags.

Know a pre-school or early elementary school teacher? See above.

And really, anyone who buys garbage bags when they can get plastic grocery bags for free needs to think things through.
