Classical (non-dialect) Italian is closest to Latin. Spanish and Portuguese are 30-40% derived from Arabic (remember the Moors ruled the Iberian peninsula for eight centuries and Arabic was the lingua franca). Most words that do not share a similar root between Spanish and French have to do with this split.
This may be an odd thing to say but I feel as though Georgia’s handwriting in Spanish is becoming more confident! Kudos!!
