   I believe he did NOT believe in slavery, but knew if he freed his slaves, they would suffer due to the lack of jobs, discrimination, etc. Times were very different then.

   Not convicted of rape. Get your facts straight. And the “convicted felon” was a rail-roaded prosecution linking a misdemeanor that was way outside the statute of limitations and something else to get it to a felony. The underlying issue was alleged misrepresentation of a valid business expense within his real estate business. Virtually all other real estate businessmen have stated that the business expense was correctly done. Suggest you go back and look at the facts and try to find something else to hang your hat on.

   Well, most people do NOT believe the electoral college is wrong. It’s what saves us from the tyranny of 50+1. Everyone’s voice needs to be heard and checks and balances are critical. Please don’t make statements about “everyone” since it’s impossible to know what everyone thinks on this issue. On the left, there are many who believe the college should be abandoned. On the right, there are many who believe it’s what saves our democracy as a republic. Probably safe to say it’s a rough split in opinion.
