Old white male, haven’t gotten a haircut in over 3 years. People in Eastern Wa got friendlier as my hair got longer, people in Seattle gave me more room in stores. I live in E Wa, so get along just fine and spend as little time on the coast as possible. Have received many complements on my hair.
I believe we are seeing the results of the 30 second sound bites, the advent of smart phones / social media, and the need for instant gratification. Our collective attention span seems to be measured in seconds and our gene pool is not a damp cocktail napkin.
Could you imagine the trauma of knowing all the people you’ll ever meet and associate with will die and you’ll still be here? Now that’s going to need a lot of therapy.
One of the issues I have is that the number of people inflicted with unrestrained greed and exploitive natures seem to have multiplied exponentially.
