In my humble opinion, all money is imaginary. Money is a substitute (and a useful one) for actual goods or services. But, it’s value always depends on people agreeing to the idea that it >has< value. What makes gold valuable? Gold is only valuable because people think it is. Squirrels prefer acrorns.
