    It’s not pronounced “go” anyway.

I thought the four main food groups were “fat, sugar, salt, and preservatives.”

Excuse me, but I had understood years ago that Mr Gilbert discontinued his works. Is this cartoon recent or a resurrection of a past cartoon, because I had never seen this one before. That said, I think Mr Gilbert is a graphic art genius, and I’d hate to think that he’s burned out. I have all the collections I got on Amazon, but I haven’t had a chance to go thru them all — saving them for “dessert,” I suppose, but I’d like to believe that he is back in business. I was fearful that he put so much into his artwork, especially facial expressions, that he would burn out. “Say it ain’t so!” Derel Schrock, Edmond OK

I think the intent was to say there wasn’t enough space for the dog’s age in human years. The five candles should represent the dog’s age in dog years which would equal around 35 human years.
