I drew this strip to remind everyone there are animals in shelters all over the country, waiting to be be adopted. To have frisbee games, rope tugs and walks with their adopted family. Rescued pets have so much to give us and make the BEST companions!! -Adrian Raeside

Awww, don’t thank me, thank those who rescue dogs – both ‘broken’ and ‘unbroken,’ they are the heroes!

What Tom Chesser has said to me: “People don’t realize that they would give up nothing to take in one of these dogs, but would receive a world of love from them.”

Just so you know… this strip was inspired by a lovely man named Tom Chesser, who lives in Nova Scotia and rescues dogs with missing limbs and other parts. He calls them “broken dogs” but in reality, he puts them back together with lots of love. Annie is one of his many rescued dogs. We all thank you for what you do, Tom! Check out his FB page…

The Other Coast: Ranger, the dog with a doggy wheelchair. This strip was inspired by a lovely man by the name of John Lizotte, who provides wheelchairs for dogs in need. Check out his rescued rollers website: https://www.rescuedrollers.com and yes, Ranger is a real dog and he’s going to make more appearances in The Other Coast!

I’m so sorry you’re going through what is such a stressful time. Poor little Taz! It’s one of the hardest decisions we have make but as they can’t do it, we have to make it for them. Taz will cross over to the Rainbow Bridge and he will be waiting for you, happy and free of pain. I hope he gets to meet Koko and Sakura, who crossed over a few years ago. My thoughts are are with you.
