I see hurling more like field hockey.. but with vastly more violence. In fact, it’s really more like regulated stick fighting that happens to have a ball and goals to declare winner instead of “last man standing”.
These are the Afghan warlords. They don’t actually “do” religion… they join the side they think will win and will pay them / let them keep doing what they want.
a challenge flag won’t help any of the recent complaints.
You can challenge: 1) completed pass yes/no – inbounds? maintain control, 2) runner down prior to fumble, 3) runner down yes/no – stepped out of bounds?, knee/body part down? 4) goal line challenges, 5) ball spotting (sometimes). Basically possession question, end of play question and TD question yes/no questions. (plus # of players on fields)
You cannot challenge penalties or ask for one to be called. Many of these demands relate to that – was their a foul missed (e.g. Detroit).
During the 2 minute warning – these are auto reviewed by the booth and the ref is notified if they need to look. This is done to prevent teams from throwing a flag just to stop the clock/break momentum/take a break. Especially offenses who don’t care about a clock runoff or even a penalty from a failed challenge.
First, you can’t claim a mandate from winning (Obama, Biden, Clinton) and then deny a mandate when you lose. Nobody cared how big or small, how much of the population voted for their winner – just that they won.
second, not sure how you came up with 23%. The 2024 turn out seems to be 64.5%, a percentage point down on 2020 but well above 2016 and the 2nd highest since 1908 (almost a percentage point above the 3rd highest, 1960). When you do Trump’s percentage of vote (a notch above 50%) times turnout, you get 32.25% of eligible voters voting for Trump. That’s the same as Obama’s in 2008 (32.5%) – which the Democrats claimed was a true mandate to do whatever.
Yes – i hate that Trump won. I think he’ll continue to be a disaster. But he won. And that gives him the same mandate as his predecessors.
won’t care – Diddy’s music stylings wouldn’t work for Riley. He produced some that Riley likes but didn’t perform that way.
