    Sparrows and cardinals are primarily seed eaters. On the other hand, along with robins, mockingbirds and catbirds would be very helpful, as would be woodpeckers.

    I wondered why Polk was included. One could argue that Lyndon Johnson could also be shown in shady form. And why Trump isn’t shown is beyond me (for my money, he’s dangerously close to challenging Buchanan and Pierce for the dubious distinction of all time worst.)

    Cobalt isn’t exactly cheap. Assuming this strip was first published in 2000, then it was selling for ~$16,000 per metric ton, which yields $48 million in inventory. That sort of highly useful metal should be something they could move in a hurry.

    Today (March 2024) it’s selling for ~$28,000/metric ton.

    You’re serious: NBA players are such entitled divas with such delicate sensibilities that they can have fans ejected? Incredible. If anyone—even the most whiny, entitled NHL player (looking straight at you, Sidney Crosby) tried that, the refs would laugh uproariously at him, tell him to forget it, and get back to the game. And the rest of the league would never let him hear the end of it.

    Tell NBA players to man up and deal with it. Ye gods…
