In the second panel, I think it should read, “Tú deberías probarlo.” The way it’s written it translates, “You should treat it.” “Tratar” means “try” only when used in the phrase “tratar de,” as in “Traté de trepar el árbol.” (I tried to climb the tree.”)
Okay, this might be the “literal actual question the Girl asked me at bedtime in these exact words,” but did you quote her precisely? ;-)
